We are kicking off our podcasts with the topic of Finances for the month of June.  Jason Spencer has graciously accepted our offer to interview him about the book Profit First by Mike Michalowicz.  Jason Spencer has worked many years with Mike and the team at Profit First.  He has spoken to many entrepreneurs in the wedding industry about the Profit First Method.

Make sure to give every dollar a purpose. Don’t let it be spent willy-nilly. Every dollar that leaves your bank account needs a reason, a purpose attached to it.

A great supplement is the Profit First Podcast hosted by Mike Michalowicz. He has two other (Entrepreneurship Elevated and GMAP) that are worth checking out as well — all three are in iTune, Stitcher, TuneIn, and Google Play.

For anyone looking to dip their toes in the pool, there is a Facebook group called “Ask the Profit First Professional” — I am in there to help out, but it is run by an excellent bookkeeper friend of mine. There are around 1,800 members that make it very easy to research or ask questions, especially if you are trying to implement Profit First by yourself.
